WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • 10+ years of manufacturing leadership (Plant Management) experience with a strong background in lean/CI.
  • Proven track record in talent development, succession planning, and employee engagement.
  • Expertise in OEE, SIOP, RCCA, and operational KPIs.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting and cost control, and P&L management.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, HSE, and sustainability best practices.
  • Strategic thinker with experience in Manufacturing 4.0, automation, and AI-driven processes.
  • Must reside near one of the following locations: Buckeye, AZ · Dallas, TX · De Soto, KS · Lawrenceville, GA · Orlando, FL · Pleasant Prairie, WI · Erie, PA

Responsibilities

PURPOSE OF ROLE

The Director of Manufacturing is a strategic and hands-on leadership role responsible for driving safety, operational excellence, talent development, and innovation across multiple manufacturing sites while maintaining a customer-centric approach. This position champions a Human-Centered Leadership approach, fostering a culture of growth, mentorship, and accountability while ensuring alignment with the company’s mission, vision, and values.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Eliminate Lost Time Injury Frequency (LTIFR) by promoting a strong safety culture.
  • Implement manufacturing standards across all 7 manufacturing sites and the rest of the operations organization.
  • Lead lean manufacturing and continuous improvement (CI) culture to optimize processes.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and other HSE regulations.
  • Develop and implement career path programs to foster employee growth and retention.
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives to improve morale and retention.
  • Ensure training programs are adhered to, to enhance workforce skills and operational effectiveness.
  • Improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) by minimizing downtime and implementing preventive maintenance (PM) plans.
  • Manage Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) at the plant level.
  • Establish and enforce quality standards to ensure product consistency and reliability.
  • Foster a Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) culture to address defects and inefficiencies.
  • Analyze operational data to forecast demand, assess capacity constraints, and develop scalable manufacturing strategies.
  • Responsible for an operating budget of $80M+ with and organization of 800+ Rehrig family members.
