QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum:

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in media, communications, or related fields, with a proven track record in leadership roles.
• Strong understanding of the media landscape, including digital, broadcast, and print channels.
• Exceptional strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Demonstrated experience in budget management and resource allocation.

Preferred:

• MBA preferred.
• Experience in a high-growth environment or with a well-known brand.
• Established media relationships with journalists in the region.
• Proficiency in media analytics tools and platforms.
• Background in content marketing or public relations is a plus.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) during employment.  
• Prior marine industry experience or related field.

TECHNICAL AND GENERAL SKILLS

• Strong written and verbal communication skills 
• Proficiency in MS Office, including Word and Excel, Outlook, and other related applications. 
• Proficiency in Hootsuite, Cision, Meltwater, Constant Contact, and WordPress for website and digital media management and metric reporting.
• Proficiency in graphic design software such as Illustrator, Photoshop and Canva.
• Strong focus on customer service 

NON-TECHNICAL SKILLS
