Located in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and founded in 1820, St. John’s Ravenscourt (SJR) School enjoys a preeminent position in the community of Canadian independent schools. We invite applications for the following position:
Strategic Leadership and Brand Management: Develop and execute a multi-year integrated marketing and communications strategy aligned with the school’s strategic priorities. Articulate and manage a compelling and cohesive school identity that reflects the school’s mission, values, and unique character. Serve as the school’s storyteller—overseeing the creation of compelling narratives that resonate with prospective families, alumni, faculty, and donors.
Enrolment, Advancement and Engagement Support: Partner closely with Admissions and Advancement to craft messaging and campaigns. Align internal messaging with external campaigns to ensure consistency and maximize impact. Support marketing for key events, such as alumni reunions.
Digital Strategy and Content Development: Lead the school’s digital strategy, including website management, social media presence, email campaigns, and multimedia content. Ensure an engaging and user-friendly website that serves as a dynamic tool for admissions, advancement, and community communications. Oversee content creation across channels, balancing storytelling with data-informed messaging.
Team and Budget Management: Lead, mentor, and inspire a small team and external vendors. Manage the department budget and evaluate ROI on campaigns and initiatives using performance analytics.
The successful candidate will hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field. They will have 7 to10 years of progressively responsible experience in marketing and communications, ideally within an educational or nonprofit setting. The ideal candidate will have expertise in brand strategy, digital marketing, storytelling, media relations, and campaign execution. Experience with CMS platforms, Google Analytics, SEO/SEM, and social media marketing tools required.
