JOB OVERVIEW

Join a fast-paced, community-focused organization as our Director of Marketing & Communications. This full-time role is perfect for a marketing professional, communications specialist, or event coordinator who thrives on building relationships, creating engaging content, and leading community events. You’ll manage social media, newsletters, websites, and promotional campaigns while also being the welcoming face of the organization at ribbon cuttings, downtown events, and high-profile programs.

EXPERIENCE

  • Post-secondary education preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Facebook, and Canva preferred.
  • Positive, professional customer service and relationship-building skills required.
  • Ability to serve the diverse needs of Chamber members, non-members, and community citizens.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, team environment.
  • Experience in event planning or marketing communications is a plus.

Responsibilities
  • As the Director of Marketing & Communications, you will:
  • Serve as the welcoming face of the Chamber, greeting visitors and responding to phone calls, emails, and in-person inquiries.
  • Create and implement a marketing and communications plan that highlights Chamber initiatives and member stories.
  • Design marketing materials and manage communications for all Chamber events.
  • Coordinate the monthly Chamber Issue Newsletter and weekly event updates.
  • Update and maintain the Chamber’s website and social media pages.
  • Record meeting minutes for the Board of Directors.
  • Assist in planning and executing Chamber events, including:
  • New Teacher Breakfast
  • Legislative Forums
  • Annual Banquet
  • Annual Board Retreat
  • Serve as staff liaison for the Downtown Promotions Committee and help plan/implement downtown events as part of the C-3 District contract.
  • Provide executive assistance to the Chamber’s Executive Director.
  • Support general office organization and record-keeping.
  • Aid other Chamber staff with events and activities as needed.
