Description

Four Squared Solutions is seeking a Director of Marketing for an remote opportunity in the cruise line industry.
The Director of Marketing of Marketing plays a critical role in shaping and executing the company’s marketing vision and strategy to drive growth and strengthen brand presence. This senior leader will be responsible for developing and leading integrated marketing initiatives that engage diverse audiences and align with overall business goals.
Overseeing all facets of the marketing functionincluding brand management, advertising, and public relationsthe Director of Marketing will ensure a cohesive and impactful brand voice across all channels. With a strong grasp of industry trends and competitive dynamics, this role will help solidify the companys position within the Travel and Tourism sector and establish it as a leader in the cruise industry.
The Director of Marketing currently manages 2-3 direct reports and collaborates with external vendors and subcontractors to execute strategic initiatives. Ultimately, this role is focused on delivering high-impact marketing campaigns that enhance the customer experience and drive sustainable revenue growth.

Responsibilities include overall accountability for the companys marketing strategy and execution, encompassing customer acquisition and retention, brand management, website oversight, marketing communications, and direct marketing. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Design and execute comprehensive marketing strategies aimed at driving revenue growth, boosting brand awareness, and attracting new customers.
  • Lead and inspire a high-performing marketing team by setting clear goals, offering mentorship, and ensuring alignment with company-wide objectives.
  • Partner cross-functionally with sales, operations, and finance teams to ensure seamless integration of marketing efforts into broader business plans.
  • Oversee the creation and delivery of multi-channel marketing campaigns, including digital, social media, email, and traditional advertising platforms.
  • Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to uncover consumer insights, market trends, and emerging business opportunities.
  • Effectively manage the marketing budget, track return on investment (ROI), and adjust spending to ensure maximum impact.
  • Guide the development of compelling brand messaging, creative assets, and promotional materials that resonate with target audiences.
  • Serve as a brand ambassador by representing the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and media events to build visibility and strategic relationships.
  • Provide visionary leadership that motivates and energizes the team.
  • Establish clear priorities, remove barriers to execution, and promote open, consistent communication.
  • Maintain a culture of accountability by setting clear expectations and following through consistently on performance standards.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelors degree in marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA preferred.

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Demonstrated success in senior marketing roles within the travel, hospitality, or cruise sectors.
  • Proven leadership abilities with experience building and guiding high-performing marketing teams.
  • Strategic and creative thinker with a talent for developing innovative marketing strategies that set the brand apart.
  • Strong proficiency in digital marketing platforms, CRM systems, and analytics tools.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities effectively.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 8 + years in Marketing in a similar role as described above.
  • Travel/tourism, hospitality and/or cruise industry experience required.
