Position Summary The Director of Marketing & Events leads the strategy, execution, and growth of Branson Landing’s marketing and event programming to drive visitation, tenant success, and year-round community engagement. This role oversees integrated campaigns (digital, social, email, PR, paid media) and produces signature experiences—including concerts and larger scale events like the annual Branson Landing Liberty Light Up—while building strong partnerships with tenants, the City of Branson officers, and the Branson and Hollister Chambers. Targeted focus will be on programs to increase retail sales and traffic. The Director of Marketing must be able to represent the center to our customers, tenants, community and ownership in a positive respectful manner. The candidate must drive the program and effectively collaborate and work with the leadership teams in curating events, advertising and marketing programs. Employment Type: Full-Time, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm Work Schedule: On-site; nights, weekends, and holidays required as dictated by events and peak seasons Key Responsibilities Marketing & Brand Leadership Develop and execute annual and seasonal marketing strategies that increase traffic, strengthen brand awareness, and support tenant sales. Own the marketing calendar and ensure consistent brand standards across all channels and guest touchpoints. Manage campaign planning, performance reporting, and continuous optimization (KPIs, insights, recommendations). Work with Corporate Marketing Team to create Branson Landing Collateral Material by supplying updated property copy and information for creation of Ads, quarterly Branson Landing Newspaper and Brochures. Consumer Marketing · Develop a self-sustaining sponsored events calendar and annual budget for special events at the center. · Partner with and manage media buying and media production contractors inclusive of securing media and providing content and copy as necessary. · Coordinate and manage the visual merchandising, signage and barricade graphics plan to main and upscale shopping environment. · Manage, initiate and utilize social, mobile and digital media platform to respond to customer and industry trends inclusive of Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Google+, Yelp, and Google Analytics. · Identify opportunities for engaging content and create a content calendar. · Manage an effective e-mail messaging strategy to inform patrons of programs, events and merchant promotions. · Manage and update the mall’s website and digital media channels as needed. · Manage directory updates both digitally and traditionally. Social Media & Content Strategy Create and manage a comprehensive social media plan including content strategy, scheduling, engagement, and real-time event coverage. Oversee content creation (photo/video), partnerships, and promotional storytelling that highlights tenants and property experiences. Support digital advertising strategy (as applicable), including targeting, budget pacing, and performance reporting. Events & Experiences Concept, plan, and produce signature events that drive visitation—live concerts, seasonal activations, like Liberty Light Up and Branson Landing Tree Lighting Ceremony, etc. Lead end-to-end event execution: budgets, timelines, vendors, contracts, run-of-show, staffing, load-in/load-out, and post-event recaps. Coordinate event sponsorships/partners to enhance experiences and offset costs. Tenant Partnership & Support Serve as the primary marketing liaison to Branson Landing tenants, aligning promotions and maximizing tenant visibility through property channels. Establish an ongoing partnership with tenants to maximize individual store sales through communication / sales promotions / visual merchandising, etc. Coordinate tenant participation in major events and seasonal campaigns (promotions, activations, extended hours, signage, cross-promotion). Support tenant grand openings, store milestones, and collaborative marketing initiatives. Assist the General Manager to help foster relationships with tenants, key county and community organizations as needed. Plan, purchase, and manage the installation/removal of season holiday décor packages with the Maintenance Manager and General manager. As well as informing tenants of dates of holiday décor, etc. Leasing: Participate where necessary with prospective retailers and provide demographic data, shopper profile and local market information. Community & Government Relations Partner with the City of Branson to align on event permitting, safety planning, public services coordination, and compliance. Collaborate with the Branson Chamber of Commerce & CVB and the Hollister Chamber on tourism initiatives, co-promotions, and community engagement. Represent Branson Landing professionally with civic leaders, tourism partners, and community stakeholders. Budget, Vendor & Project Management Create, execute and manage the marketing business plan inclusive of the annual marketing and event budget. Ongoing monitoring of the marketing budget, website and social media data; monthly forecasting and adjustment as needed to meet year-end projections. Source, negotiate, and manage vendors (creative, media, staging/production, AV, security, etc.) ensuring quality and efficiency. Maintain organized event playbooks, vendor lists, contracts, and documentation. Requirements Qualifications Associate’s degree in marketing and a minimum of 5 years of experience of strong marketing, management and event production (destination marketing, retail/entertainment, hospitality, or similar) is required. Proven success producing large-scale events (concerts, festivals, holiday ceremonies, or comparable). Strong digital marketing and social media planning expertise; ability to measure and report performance. Experience working with multiple stakeholders (tenants/retail partners, sponsors, agencies, vendors). Demonstrated ability to coordinate with municipalities and civic partners on events, permitting, and public safety planning. Excellent leadership, communication, project management, and budget management skills. Incredible people and team leader. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously – a multitasker is a must. Strong planning & organizing skills. Excellent interpersonal, communication, selling and negotiation shills. Sound fiscal management and budgeting skills. Flexibility to work varied schedules including weekends, evenings and holidays when necessary. Preferred Experience in a mixed-use destination, shopping center, or tourism-driven environment. Sponsorship development and partner marketing collaboration experience.
