Our Marketing team are now looking for a Director of Marketing to lead our brand’s strategic growth. This is a rare opportunity to shape the future of Harrods’ brand presence, leading a high-performing team and working cross-functionally with Retail, Digital, Partnerships, PR, Creative, and Merchant teams to deliver exceptional campaigns and experiences. Reporting to the Chief Brand & Reputation Officer, you’ll play a pivotal role in defining our place in the luxury market.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

In this role, you will be responsible for defining and evolving Harrods’ marketing strategy, ensuring consistency across all channels and touchpoints. You’ll lead the creation of integrated marketing campaigns and partner with teams across the business to deliver unforgettable customer experiences. You’ll be a key driver in building the annual marketing calendar, using customer insights and commercial data to shape and guide the strategic direction of our marketing efforts.
This role involves overseeing a wide scope—from international marketing and content strategy to events and campaign planning—while championing a unified marketing agenda across the business. You’ll manage a significant marketing budget, ensuring ROI and alignment with business priorities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Leading the development and execution of holistic, insight-driven marketing strategies and campaigns.
  • Collaborating across departments to drive performance and bring the brand to life through unique storytelling.
  • Partnering with CRM, Digital, and Insight teams to enhance customer acquisition, retention, and loyalty.
  • Driving alignment of marketing strategies with retail, digital, and partnership initiatives.
  • Building and managing an annual marketing calendar that reflects Harrods’ strategic goals.
  • Overseeing and inspiring a team of marketing professionals across various specialisms.
  • Managing the marketing budget and ensuring strategic investment in key brand moments.
  • Supporting the development of a centralised event strategy and optimising brand partnerships and paid media.
