The Director of Marketing is a visionary leader responsible for developing and executing comprehensive strategies that elevate the visibility, engagement, and tourism impact of the Palm Beach County Sports Commission. This role leads brand management, digital marketing, public relations, and event promotion efforts to position The Palm Beaches as a premier destination for sports tourism and community-based athletic events.
The ideal candidate is a dynamic and creative professional with a strong understanding of destination marketing and stakeholder collaboration. The Director will oversee and manage marketing budgets, strategically allocating resources and tracking expenditures to maximize return on investment (ROI). This role works closely with the sports development and event operations teams, as well as with external partners, event organizers, and media outlets to drive awareness and attendance through innovative campaigns and compelling storytelling.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Sports Management, Business, or a related field
  • 3–5 years of progressive experience in marketing, with a focus on sports marketing, destination marketing, or event promotion
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing marketing campaigns that drive engagement and visibility
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing tools, platforms, and analytics
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives, presentations, and content
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Passion for sports and a deep appreciation for the impact of marketing in the tourism and events industry
