Main Responsibilities Strategic Leadership Lead the development and delivery of the Trusts medical education strategy. Ensure alignment with national standards and local service needs. Collaborate with the Deputy Chief Medical Officer, Clinical Tutors, and other senior leaders to maintain high-quality educational governance. Educational Oversight Ensure all medical learners receive appropriate induction and supervision.
Maintain systems for supporting trainees involved in patient safety incidents or requiring additional help. Oversee access to study leave and funding, ensuring equitable and transparent processes. Faculty Development Build and sustain a coherent and inclusive medical education faculty. Support the professional development of supervisors and educators.
Promote multi-professional learning and collaboration across the Trust. Quality Assurance & Compliance Monitor and report on educational outcomes and compliance with GMC and HEE standards. Respond to external reviews and inspections, ensuring continuous improvement. Maintain robust documentation and contribute to workforce planning and service development.
Stakeholder Engagement Liaise with Health Education England (KSS), Royal Colleges, and higher education institutions. Represent the Trust in regional and national medical education forums. Act as a key contact for recruitment panels and Royal College assessment
