JOB OVERVIEW

Our church is looking for someone who loves the Lord and feels called to lead followers of Jesus of all generations in worshiping Him.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Theological Alignment - Enthusiastically affirm the essential beliefs of ECO (our denomination) and willing to join our church as a covenant partner (member)
  • Education- Music degree (preferred) Skills - Strong vocals and instrumental skills (keys/piano), Reading music, Music theory, Google Suite, ProPresenter
  • Giftedness - Musically and vocally leading others in corporate worship while recruiting and empowering others in the church to lead alongside them
  • Experience - Leading traditional and contemporary worship in a church setting

Responsibilities
  • Under the direction of the Senior Pastor, plan the corporate worship gatherings of our church
  • Help to plan for seasons of worship, incorporating creative new ways for our church family to engage with the Holy Spirit
  • Lead our worship services as the primary worship leader, musically and vocally
  • Identify and develop other worship leaders within the church body, exploring and nurturing their spiritual giftedness. This would include working with our contemporary band and choir.
  • Invest in our next generation of the church body by leading musical worship at our Wednesday afternoon KidZone ministry (elementary students) and Wednesday evening HighLife ministry (middle and high school students)
  • Under the direction of the Senior Pastor, help to develop non-musical elements of the worship services such as times of prayer or response
  • Oversee the church’s worship audio/visual volunteers and ministry
  • Work alongside our Worship Committee to develop and steward an annual worship budget
  • Arrange for worship leadership of our services when absent
  • Oversee the maintenance of our church’s instruments
  • Assist with other services, such as weddings or memorial services, as able
  • Attend all appropriate staff meetings
  • In general, provide humble assistance to the Senior Pastor and church, as needed
