Description
Job Summary: St. Mary Catholic Church is seeking a full-time Director of Music / Organist to help lead a thriving parish in prayer through the beauty of sacred music. This is a rare opportunity for a gifted musician and faithful Catholic to serve a vibrant parish of 2,100 families with a strong choir, enthusiastic congregation, and a deep commitment to reverent, tradition-rich liturgy, including the use of antiphons at Mass. With plans underway for a choir loft renovation and the purchase of a new pipe organ, the next Director of Music will have the unique opportunity not only to lead an established and flourishing music ministry, but to help shape its next chapter in a parish that truly values beauty, excellence, and the sacred in worship.     This is a 40-hour per week salaried position with benefits. Salary is commensurate with education and experience. The position is open immediately or at a mutually agreed-upon start date.
Responsibilities
The Director of Music will lead the parish in prayer through sacred music and oversee the music ministry for a large congregation. They will also manage the transition during a choir loft renovation and the installation of a new pipe organ.
