Description Heartline Staffing, strategic talent partners with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking an experienced Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Director to lead a Level III NICU and Transition Nursery at a hospital in El Paso, Texas. The NICU Director is responsible for the overall leadership, operational performance, and clinical quality of the NICU and Transition Nursery. This role oversees day-to-day operations, staffing, budgeting, productivity, outreach, NICU transport, and long-term service line development while ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and quality care. The Director collaborates closely with physicians, nursing leadership, and interdisciplinary teams to support staff development, patient satisfaction, and physician engagement while maintaining cost-effective and efficient operations. Key Responsibilities: - Lead daily operations of the NICU and Transition Nursery - Oversee staffing, budgeting, productivity, and future growth planning - Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and safety standards - Lead quality improvement initiatives and staff competency development - Support NICU transport operations and outreach efforts - Promote patient, staff, and physician satisfaction through collaborative leadership Compensation Up to $130,000 annually Incentive Bonus: Eligible for a 17.5% leadership incentive bonus based on facility performance Sign-On Bonus: Up to $15,000 approved Relocation Assistance: Available Requirements Education: - Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required - Master’s degree preferred Licensure & Certifications: - Current RN licensure in Texas or compact state - BCLS required - NRP required - S.T.A.B.L.E. certification required Experience: - NICU leadership experience required - Experience managing a Level III NICU or higher strongly preferred - Proven experience in budgeting, staffing, and operational leadership
