Description Director of Nursing We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Nursing to lead our nursing team and ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care. Key Responsibilities: - Oversee the daily operations of the nursing department, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational policies Monitor resident conditions and communicate significant changes to families, physicians and appropriate care providers. - Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing policies, procedures, and standards of care - Lead, mentor, and support nursing staff to promote professional development and high performance - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and improve clinical outcomes - Manage staffing levels, budgets, and resource allocation to optimize efficiency and quality - Ensure accurate documentation and reporting of patient information in accordance with legal and ethical standards - Monitor patient satisfaction and address any issues to enhance the patient experience - Stay current with healthcare trends, regulations, and best practices to maintain accreditation and improve service delivery Skills and Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) required; master’s degree in nursing or healthcare administration preferred - Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the relevant state or jurisdiction - Proven supervisory experience and nursing leadership, with a minimum of 2 years in a clinical setting - Strong knowledge of healthcare laws, regulations, and accreditation standards - Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills - Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure - Proficiency in healthcare management software and electronic health records (EHR) CPR Certification Join our organization and be part of a dynamic team committed to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care. Requirements Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to ensure that the requirements of this position can be fully met. Must meet the general health requirements by the policies of this facility, which include a medical and physical examination Must be able to relate to and work with the ill, disables, elderly, emotionally upset, and at times, agitated residents. Must be able to push, pull, move and/or lift a minimum of 25 lbs to a minimum heith of 5 feet and be able to push, pull and /or carry such weight a minimum of 50 feet. May be necessary to assist in the evacuation of of residents during emergency situations.
