QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Active Registered Nurse licensure (in the state of PA) required
  • Active CPR required
  • Wound Certification preferred
  • Infection Preventionist Certification preferred
  • Three-years’ Long-Term Care or Rehab experience
  • One-year management experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred

Responsibilities
  • Develops and maintains nursing policies, procedures, objectives and practice standards.
  • Prepares schedules within budgetary guidelines and ensures; assists with budget process.
  • Maintains and prepares records, documentation and reports as required by policies and regulations.
  • Acts as a catalyst for quality improvement.
  • Performs daily rounding on residents and team members.
  • Remains compliant with all federal, state, local and corporate regulations.
  • Creates, maintains and supports a safe work environment and work practices.
  • Responsible for the Comprehensive Resident Assessment and Interdisciplinary Plan of Care process.
  • Assists with maintenance of nursing policies, procedures, objectives and standards of practice.
  • Participates in talent acquisition process, training, supervision and corrective action for nursing team.
  • Evaluates job performance and reviews peer evaluations for assigned team members.
  • Participates in preparation of nursing schedules to assure adequate staffing and quality care.
  • Conducts regular team meetings for all shifts.
  • Maintains accurate resident census reports.
  • Assists with licensure and certification tracking.
  • Maintains budgetary control of supply inventory, cost containment and nursing team.
  • Develops positive relationships and is accessible to all residents, families, visitors and team members.
  • Promotes and supports culture of patient centered care and service.
