Generations at Applewood, a skilled nursing facility in Matteson, Illinois, Seeks a Dynamic Director of Nursing (DON).
We Offer You $140k+ depending on experience. MUST HAVE RECENT LONG-TERM CARE MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE. Full Benefits including PTO and 401k, and Opportunity for Advancement. REQUIREMENTS OF THE DIRECTOR OF NURSING (DON):

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license from the State of Illinois
  • Minimum of two (2) years of Director of Nursing (DON) or ADON experience in a skilled nursing facility
  • Clinical and supervisory experience required
  • Previous experience with State surveys
  • Demonstrated leadership and relationship building skills
  • Strong administrative, managerial, and organizational skills

Responsibilities
  • Direct staff and collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team to provide physical and psychological support to the residents and their families
  • Supervise scheduling of sufficient staff to ensure uninterrupted service to the residents at all times
  • Obtain staff by recruiting, interviewing; Retain staff through dynamic leadership and team building skills
  • Assist in completing monthly audits of sample EMR charting Review admissions/referrals and assist in interviewing/selecting residents for admission with the Administrator’s approval
  • Serve as chairperson of the Quality Assurance Committee and any other committees as required by existing regulations or as appointed by the Administrator
  • Prepare clinical nursing reports for the quarterly Quality Assurance meetings
  • Prepare Performance Improvement reports as required by JCAHO guidelines
  • Supervise the MDS/Care Plan Coordinator to ensure that all MDS forms are completed accurately and in a timely manner
