Description Essential Duties: Directing and overseeing our amazing nursing team (RNs, LPNs, CNAs). Developing and carrying out nursing department policies and procedures. Manage department record keeping and nursing staff documentation. Managing facility infection control policies and procedures as needed. Managing department budgeting and financial processes. Working with medical and clinical teams to plan, carry out, and evaluate patient treatment plans. Maintain a safe and sanitary environment. Attends staff training and meetings as required by the employer. Requirements Minimum Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with at least a BSN. Current active licensure in the state the facility resides as an R.N with no disciplinary actions. 2 years direct supervisory experience, 5 years preferred. Experience in policy management, leadership, and regulation compliance. Knowledge of financial reporting, legal regulations, and evidence-based practice. Ability to deal with both chemically dependent and individuals in psychiatric care in a non-judgmental, compassionate fashion. Excellent skills in communication, problem-solving, and customer service. Demonstrated ability to establish effective working relationships with other staff as well as with referral sources. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions from a wide variety of data and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Active BLS certificate. Non-restricted driver’s license. Key Competencies: Compassion toward people in recovery and in mental health treatment. Excellent nursing judgment. Willingness to work with clients of all backgrounds and populations. Patience with the client population. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Self-starter and problem solver. Experience with The Joint Commission accreditation. Experience working in nursing leadership in the field of behavioral health. Work Environment: This position is an in-person/office work environment. There will be daily face-to-face interaction with staff and clients. The workday will vary, but it will often include sitting at a desk, working on a computer, meeting with clients, and completing paperwork. This position requires you to work in a temperature-controlled environment. Standing for periods of time may be required. Occasional need for lifting 50lbs or more. Potential exposure to violent situations. Potential exposure to airborne/blood-borne pathogens or other potentially infectious materials.
