JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Summary of the Job: Provides administrative leadership for the Telemetry Medicine Unit for care of hospitalized patients. The Director supports the daily clinical operations and a team of outstanding frontline clinicians. The Director serves as a role model for customer service, quality, best practice, and innovation. He/she is accountable for the delivery of competent, compassionate, and efficient care of patients on a 24-hour basis. Minimum Qualifications: Current LA RN licensure. Five (5) years clinical experience in the care of hospitalized patients, plus two (2) years of progressive management experience which may include Charge Nurse and/or Supervisory roles. Current BLS and ALS certifications through any International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) provided courses such as but not limited to: Ochsner Health System, American Heart Association, and American Red Cross. The ILCOR course must include a manikin check off. Preferred Qualifications: BSN and MSN degrees or related field is preferred. RN-BC preferred. Preferred experience for this position includes: Care of telemetry and medicine hospitalized patients. Physical Demands: Must possess good physical health. Some requirements include but are not limited to standing, sitting or walking for long periods of time. Lifting at least 20 pounds is required. Must be able to work with a moderate level of noise.
