The Director of Nursing provides direct supervision and management to the Nursing Department, working to ensure optimal resident care across shifts. The Director develops policies, practices, processes and forms for the Nursing Department, adhering to regulations required for ICF/IID facilities. They will serve on various facility committees to aid in the quality improvement for the facility. Also coordinates training for Nurses regarding facility changes or performance issues as needed. The Director participates in drills and responds to facility emergencies.
