Job Summary The Director of Nursing is responsible for the quality; adequacy of services provided and may, where required, supervise staff. The RN is responsible for ensuring that care is delivered appropriately and the standards of quality are adhered to. The RN is responsible for working with other medical disciplines (i.e., PT, OT, SLP) to ensure coordinated services and that all of the client’s needs are identified through the assessment process and addressed through the implementation of the Plan of Care and re-evaluation and supervisory process. Responsibilities Provides direct patient care Provides accurate, detailed, and timely documentation Conducts ongoing assessments Prepares, administers and appropriately documents actions taken specific to medications Performs all skills, treatments, and procedures competently in accordance with the provincial scope of practice Follows principles of infection control and Universal Precautions Qualifications Current certificate of competence and good standing Certified in CPR Strong clinical skills Negative TB test or chest x-ray Self-directing with the ability to work with little direct supervision Excellent customer service skills Flexible work from home options available.
