We are hiring Director of Nursing to a leading Nursing Home in Limerick,Ireland. Responsibilities Ensure the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care in compliance with NMBI, HIQA, HSE guidelines, and company policies. Provide leadership, guidance, and support to Clinical Nurse Managers (CNMs) and nursing teams. Monitor and maintain quality standards through audits, reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives. Oversee staff recruitment, induction, supervision, training, and performance management. Support multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional resident-centred care. Maintain effective communication with residents, families, healthcare professionals, staff, and external stakeholders. Manage budgets, cost control measures, occupancy targets, and financial administration. Ensure ongoing compliance with all statutory, regulatory, and HIQA requirements, including inspection readiness. Promote a positive workplace culture aligned with Bartra's values and person-centred care philosophy. Support the commissioning and successful development of Bartra Raheen Lodge from HIQA registration through to operational opening. Requirements Registered General Nurse (RGN) with active registration on the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI). Master's qualification in Healthcare or a related discipline. Evidence of continuous professional development (CPD). Minimum 3 years of post-registration nursing experience. At least 2 years' experience in Care of the Older Person within the previous 6 years. Minimum 3 years' experience in a management role within health and social care. Strong leadership, communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care. Postgraduate Master's or Diploma in Gerontology (desirable). Post-registration qualification in Dementia Care (desirable). Qualification in Management and Leadership (desirable). Previous experience in a similar healthcare setting (desirable).
