The Opportunity
We are seeking an accomplished Director of Operations (DOO) to lead and manage day-to-day operations across our three residences. This is a hands-on executive role responsible for ensuring high standards of care, compliance, team leadership, and overall performance of our sites in Coquitlam and South Surrey/White Rock.
The ideal candidate is a proven leader in seniors care or healthcare operations, with a strong track record of managing complex environments and multi-disciplinary teams. This role reports directly to the CEO and plays a critical part in driving our mission forward.
Key Responsibilities
· Provide strategic and operational leadership across all facilities.
· Oversee and support Executive Directors and care teams at each site, including DOCs, Finance, Maintenance, Support Services, Human Resources, and Clinical Services.
· Ensure regulatory compliance with BC Ministry of Health and licensing standards.
· Drive quality improvement initiatives, service innovation, and resident satisfaction.
· Manage budgets, staffing, and performance metrics.
· Foster a positive, accountable, and resident-centered culture.
· Serve as a key liaison with families, health authorities, and community partners.
Qualifications
· Ideally, 20 years of experience in the BC or Alberta health care sector.
· Senior leadership experience in seniors living, long-term care, or healthcare operations.
· Strong understanding of Assisted Living, Independent Living, and Long-Term Care environments.
· Proven ability to manage multi-site operations and interdisciplinary teams.
· Solid grasp of healthcare regulations, licensing, and accreditation standards in BC.
· Exceptional communication, financial management, and problem-solving skills.
· Relevant degree in Health Administration, Business, Nursing, or related field (Master’s preferred).
