Description Position Summary The Director of Operations serves as a senior operational leader responsible for the performance, efficiency, and growth of CNS Occupational Medicine clinic operations and employer onsite programs. This role provides direct oversight of day-to-day clinic operations while ensuring service delivery, patient flow, and employer client experience meet the high standards expected of the CNS platform. Working closely with executive leadership and the Medical Director, the Director of Operations ensures operational consistency across clinics while helping position the organization for continued expansion into new markets and service lines. This position functions as a central operational leader for clinic managers and staff, supporting workflow optimization, personnel management, financial performance, and employer engagement across the CNS network. As CNS continues to expand its occupational medicine services, this role will help build the operational infrastructure necessary to support a growing network of clinics, mobile medical services, and employer onsite programs. Requirements Operational Leadership • Provide direct operational oversight for CNS Occupational Medicine clinic locations and onsite employer programs. • Provide leadership and operational oversight for clinic managers and operational staff across CNS Occupational Medicine locations. • Standardize operational workflows, policies, and service delivery models across clinics to ensure consistency and scalability as the network grows. • Collaborate with clinical leadership to maintain effective coordination between providers, support staff, and administrative operations. • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, patient flow, and service delivery across clinic locations. • Standardize operational workflows, policies, and service delivery models across clinics to ensure consistency and scalability as the network grows. • Maintain compliance with company policies, regulatory standards, and best practices in occupational medicine operations. • Conduct periodic site visits to evaluate clinic operations, patient flow, and staff performance. Staff Leadership & Development • Recruit, onboard, and supervise clinic managers and clinic support personnel including medical assistants, front desk staff, and technicians. • Provide leadership and support to clinic managers and operational staff across all CNS Occupational Medicine locations, ensuring consistency in service delivery, operational standards, and employer client experience across the network. • Develop staffing models and manage scheduling to ensure appropriate clinic coverage and operational efficiency. • Conduct ongoing performance reviews and provide mentorship and professional development opportunities to clinic staff. • Provide leadership and mentorship to clinic managers to ensure effective local leadership at each CNS Occupational Medicine location. • Monitor licensure, certifications, and required training for clinical support staff to ensure compliance with applicable standards. Financial & Administrative Oversight • Monitor clinic financial performance including labor utilization, operational expenses, and revenue cycle activity. • Monitor clinic productivity metrics including patient visits per provider, service mix, and operational efficiency to support financial performance. • Review operational reports and financial metrics to identify performance trends and areas requiring operational adjustment. • Oversee billing workflow coordination to support accurate coding, timely claim submission, and follow-up on outstanding accounts. • Assist leadership in evaluating operational performance relative to budget expectations and growth objectives. Employer Client Engagement • Maintain strong working relationships with employer clients and designated points of contact. • Support the onboarding of new employer clients, including protocol review and operational implementation. • Ensure employer-specific instructions, services, and pricing structures are accurately reflected within clinic operations. • Address client concerns and ensure timely resolution of service-related issues. • Work with leadership to identify opportunities to expand services within existing employer relationships. Mobile, Onsite, and Program Management • Provide operational oversight for onsite employer health programs, including the Crete onsite clinic and future employer-based clinics. • Oversee scheduling, staffing coordination, logistics, and operational performance of mobile occupational health services and onsite testing programs. • Ensure operational alignment between clinic services, mobile medical units, and onsite employer programs to support seamless service delivery for employer clients. • Support the development and expansion of mobile and onsite occupational health services as CNS grows its employer partnerships. Market Development & Service Expansion • Work collaboratively with leadership to support growth initiatives across the CNS Occupational Medicine network. • Identify opportunities to expand services within existing employer relationships. • Assist with employer presentations, clinic tours, and operational planning associated with new business opportunities. • Support operational readiness for new clinics, service expansions, or employer programs as CNS continues to grow. • Assist leadership with operational planning and implementation of new clinic locations as the CNS Occupational Medicine network expands. Operational Reporting & Performance Monitoring • Track and report operational metrics including clinic productivity, coding patterns, referral activity, and service utilization. • Monitor operational trends and work with leadership to implement improvements where needed. • Provide regular operational performance reports to executive leadership outlining key metrics, trends, and opportunities for improvement. Required Skills & Qualifications • Strong knowledge of healthcare operations and medical practice management. • Experience overseeing clinic workflows, healthcare staff, and patient throughput. • Experience managing operations across multiple healthcare locations or service lines preferred. • Ability to manage multiple operational priorities across clinic locations. • Strong leadership and team development capabilities. • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with providers, staff, and employer clients. • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
