Description
* Develop and implement sanctuary programs and services in alignment with the sanctuary’s mission and goals. * Create and maintain a welcoming, safe, and supportive atmosphere for residents. * Coordinate and oversee daily sanctuary operations, including intake, assessment, case management, and residential activities. * Recruit, hire, train and supervise shelter staff, including supervisors, case managers, support staff and volunteers (if applicable). * Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and performance evaluations to ensure staff are equipped to provide quality care and assistance to residents. * Ensure access to necessary resources such as food, clothing, medical care, mental health services and job trainings. * Facilitate workshops, counseling, and educational programs to support residents’ personal growth and empowerment.  * Build and maintain positive relationships with local government agencies, community organizations, donors, and other stakeholders. * Represent the Sanctuary in public forums, meetings, and events to advocate for the needs of unhoused individuals and families. * Manage the Sanctuary’s budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources to support program operations. * Monitor expenses, track financial performance, and prepare regular financial reports for organizational leadership and funders. * Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and licensing requirements pertaining to sanctuary operations and resident safety. * Maintain accurate records, statistics, and reports on sanctuary activities, resident demographics, and program outcomes. * Contribute to the development of the sanctuary’s long term strategic plan and goals. * Identify opportunities for growth, improvement, and expansion of sanctuary services.  * Support HR related inquiries or requests.
