Additionally, the Director of Operations regularly evaluates organizational efficiency and makes necessary changes to maximize staff productivity. The Director of Operations assesses the needs of the company and finds ways to contribute to the big picture by ensuring daily operations run smoothly and as efficiently as possible. The Director of Operations is responsible for ensuring strong internal infrastructure through oversight of the organization’s Administrative/Operations Support, IT, and Relationship Management functions. This role ensures systems, processes, and support teams are aligned with organizational priorities and that internal operations support the overall mission and strategic plan. This role also supports the organization’s Traction by ensuring alignment with the Accountability Chart, contributing to departmental and organizational Rocks, and owning key Scorecard metrics. Essential Functions Statement(s) • Defines, implements, and revises operational policies and guidelines for the organization. • Oversees the organization’s internal operations to ensure systems and processes support efficiency, compliance, and service excellence. • Provides direct leadership and oversight of the Operations Support Team, ensuring the team effectively supports organizational needs, workflows, and daily business operations. • Provides oversight of the organization’s IT Team, ensuring appropriate technology systems, troubleshooting processes, security practices, and vendor coordination are in place to support all departments. • Oversees the Relationship Management Team, ensuring strong external partnerships, professional communication standards, and effective coordination of relationship management processes. • Partners with Human Resources to create job descriptions, develop and implement staff evaluations, hire competent personnel, and support employee training initiatives. • Collaborates with managers and directors to develop strategic plans and ensure companywide compliance. • Oversees support services and ensures adequate internal systems exist to meet organizational needs. • Develops and maintains the organization’s Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) manual to ensure standardized execution of key processes. • Supports the COO (Integrator) in the execution of organizational priorities, including Scorecard metrics, Rocks, and process improvement initiatives. • Regularly evaluates organizational systems and operational performance to identify inefficiencies, implement improvements, and increase productivity. • Drives to various locations as needed. • Completes related tasks as directed. Experience Minimum of three years’ experience in a leadership role, preferably in a nonprofit environment; experience working with Vocational Rehabilitation preferred, or other relevant experience. Computer Skills Proficient with Microsoft Suite, Adobe, and web-based database systems; experience with CRM systems required; knowledge of data analysis software.
