Description SUMMARY The Director of Operations at CLEARFORK ACADEMY is responsible for collaborating with the Director of Clinical Services, and other leaders within Clearfork Academy, to select and train employees as well as accomplish Behavioral Health Technician team goals by leading, coaching, and disciplining employees. They are also responsible for the direct supervision of the facility operations team to include Office Manager, Maintenance, Housekeeping, and Kitchen staff. As part of a multidisciplinary team, the Director of Operations will provide support, oversight, and assistance in coordinating program and operational services as directed by their direct supervisor. The Director of Operations will also be responsible for maintaining organizational compliance with state and other accreditation agency standards, as directed. AGE/PATIENT POPULATION(S) SERVED Age of Patient Population Served: Adolescent and Young Adult Males/Females Population Served: Person’s meeting DSM 5 criteria for substance use disorders with or without co-occurring psychiatric illness. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Lead, manage, and hold accountable staff in the execution of all Clearfork Academy programs in accordance with the policies, procedures, and core processes, and according to the standards set forth by any licensing or accreditation agencies. Responsible for the physical facility and condition of the milieu to ensure the treatment spaces are safe, secure, and therapeutic. Participates in the recruitment, hiring, retention, and training of all departments for which they are responsible. Responsible for ensuring daily client programming is followed, planned, and assigned. Delegates tasks to Shift Managers and holds them accountable. Assigns tasks related to the admission and intake process to the milieu staff, as appropriate. Supports the patient discharge process and assigns duties to milieu staff, as necessary. Participates in weekly treatment team meetings and facilitates campus operational meetings. Ensures training of all new staff within their scope and coordinates training with clinical team members, as appropriate. Provides oversight of groups being led by milieu staff and assists as needed. Develops and implements processes and procedures related to the milieu and daily operations. Supports in facilitating 90-day, annual performance reviews, and growth plans for staff. Responsible for organizing and dictating all staffing requirements, managing schedules, and monitoring overtime accrual. Delivers appropriate advanced indirect and direct client care at a competent level. Collaborates with members of the clinical and medical team to plan, expedite, and promote quality client care; employs critical thinking skills when identifying and responding to client needs. Leads and facilitates weekly, mandatory department team meeting with all direct reports. Ensures daily meals are organized and supplied and weekly menu is followed. Oversees the completion of all campus maintenance projects and campus cleanliness. Develops, executes, and participates in an “on call” rotation for emergency, crisis management, and program information to outside organizations and families. Oversee, develop, and enforce compliance of all Clearfork Academy staff and facilities in accordance with state and other accreditation agency standards. Develop checks and balances to ensure compliance is being met in all aspects of operations. Performs other duties and tasks as required. Requirements MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS Education, Training, and Experience Required: ? Bachelor’s Degree in Associated Field of Study (preferred) ? 2 to 5 years work experience in a residential treatment facility or other mental health setting (required) ? Current CPR/FA certification (upon hire) ? Current Handle with Care Physical Holding Instructor Certification (upon hire) REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES ? Knowledge of industry standards: organization, theory, principles, and research processes, accreditation and regulatory standards, ability to assess clinical care requirements based on psychotherapeutic and human development principles, scope of practice, and regulatory standards. ? Basic knowledge about substance use disorders and addiction. ? Knowledge of the operational environment and logistics. ? Professional readiness: Issues related to self-awareness, diversity, ethics, and continuing education. ? Knowledge of PC and Mac software programs, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel is required. ? Written and oral communication skills; must be able to concentrate on work amid distractions such as noise, conversations, and foot traffic. ? Must maintain self-control in volatile or hostile situations such as when verbally or physically confronted in an aggressive manner. ? Must be able to work independently with little direct supervision in an unstructured environment with multiple demands. ? Reading and writing level that can clearly express or understand complex concepts, assessments, directions and processes or sequences of events - level equivalent to at least two years of college. ? Ability to represent the program well in interactions both inside and outside the facility.
