Description

The Director of Operations oversees the organization’s daily operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness; and leads the overall planning, budgeting, scheduling and risk management of construction and other capital projects.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • University Degree or College Diploma in construction related areas such as Architecture or Engineering discipline from a recognized/accredited university or college. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
  • Minimum five (5) years planning and construction development and/or project management experience with minimum of three (3) years in a healthcare setting
  • Proficient computer skills and the ability to work with Microsoft software including Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
  • Understand Small House Model of Long-Term Care development
  • Superior communication (verbal and written), interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Strong ability to prioritize effectively and able to follow through on deliverables and deadlines
  • Support the SCOC Mission, Vision and Values
  • Have knowledge of Eden Philosophy of care
  • Understand and practice Servant Leadership
    Pay Rate: $95,000 - $102,000 annually.

Responsibilities

Some of the responsibilities include:

Leadership & Strategy – Lead operational departments, set goals aligned with organizational vision, and promote a positive, team-oriented culture.

  • Operational Excellence – Develop and optimize policies, processes, and vendor contracts to ensure efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Compliance & Risk Management – Ensure adherence to health, safety, building, and long-term care regulations; oversee infection control and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Financial Management – Develop and manage budgets, monitor performance, forecast needs, and implement cost-saving strategies in collaboration with Finance.
  • Human Resources – Supervise and mentor operations staff, support HR in employee development, and promote ongoing professional growth.
  • Communication & Engagement – Communicate effectively with staff, residents, and stakeholders; represent the organization in projects, events, and committees.
  • Professionalism & Productivity – Deliver results on time and to standard, while upholding professional values, ethics, and commitment to continuous learning.
