With over 50 years of aerospace industry experience, IMP Aerostructures, an operating unit of IMP Aerospace & Defence, is a trusted supplier of high-quality structural components and assemblies to global leaders including Bombardier, Bell Helicopter, Boeing, Spirit Aerosystems, and Lockheed Martin. Headquartered in Amherst, Nova Scotia—just a short drive from Moncton, NB—IMP Aerostructures offers the best of both worlds: a rewarding career in a thriving industry and a lifestyle grounded in community, affordability, and scenic charm.
Part of IMP Group International, one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies, IMP Aerostructures is known for fostering a supportive, collaborative, and growth-oriented work environment. The company is committed to operational excellence and continuous improvement, and as it continues to evolve, it is seeking a strategic and driven Director of Operations to lead cross-functional teams and drive productivity, innovation, and process transformation.
Reporting directly to the Vice President and General Manager, the Director of Operations will provide leadership and oversight across Production, Procurement, and Engineering, driving performance and strategic alignment across functions. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned operations leader with a strong background in manufacturing—ideally within the aerospace sector—who is passionate about lean thinking, team development, and achieving results through collaboration and innovation.

  • Using data-driven insights and KPIs to support performance monitoring, business decisions, and resource optimization.
  • Leading budgeting and forecasting processes while identifying cost-saving opportunities and optimizing materials and supplies usage.

  • Supporting the company’s annual strategic planning process and taking on other leadership duties as required.
