Description

Intermountain Medical Imaging (IMI) is seeking a strategic and experienced leader to enhance our patient-facing and administrative operations. This key leadership role is responsible for ensuring the effective management of scheduling, registration, medical records, and insurance processes, while also promoting a high-performing, team-oriented culture. The ideal candidate will possess strong operational expertise, proven leadership skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement and service excellence.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure timely, effective communication and training for staff on relevant updates and changes.
  • Lead Performance and Accountability
  • Monitor and improve team and individual performance in alignment with strategic goals and KPIs.
  • Conduct regular one-on-ones and annual performance reviews to drive accountability and growth.
  • Optimize Operations and Processes
  • Oversee patient scheduling, registration, medical records, and insurance workflows for efficiency.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance service delivery.
  • Provide Leadership and Mentorship
  • Offer operational guidance and serve as a mentor to direct reports.
  • Support professional development and success through consistent coaching and feedback.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Exemplify IMI’s Prime Directive (Mission, Vision, and Values) in the leadership and oversight of key supervisors, leaders, and employees in the areas of scheduling, patient registration, medical records, insurance coordination, physician scheduling, physician reports, and assignment coordination through the following:

  • Promote ongoing enhancement of organizational performance while ensuring compliance with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) within the department.
  • Provide leadership on operational matters related to exam orders, scheduling, medical records, and insurance issues.
  • Oversee all processes including patient scheduling, registration IT systems, medical records, and insurance verification.
  • Analyze processes and recommend improvements for operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Directors of Outpatient and Hospital Imaging Services to ensure effective policy and procedure communication.
  • Foster a positive team culture that promotes collaboration, strong customer service, and mutual support.
  • Mentor and support direct reports by training them in the execution of their responsibilities and helping them navigate challenges.
  • Train and communicate updates to team members about their roles, conduct regular one-on-one meetings to address communication and performance, and administer annual performance assessments to ensure evaluations for direct reports.
