Nature and Scope Lead clinical and operational excellence across the Alternative Birthing Center (ABC), Rural Health Clinic (RHC), and Standby Perinatal Unit (SPU) at Plumas District Hospital. Champion the midwifery model of care, evidence-based practices, staff empowerment, and continuous professional development while spearheading the 10-year SB669 standby perinatal pilot project. Location We are located at 1065 Bucks Lake Road, Quincy, CA 95971. Compensation Compensation Philosophy: We have 13 pay increments on our clinical pay scales to compensate staff for 30 years of relevant experience. Compensation Range: $ 65.85- $93.88 / hour Job Status / Shift Information Full-time, benefited Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing Current CA license for Registered Nurse NRP, STABLE, Advanced Fetal Monitoring, ACLS, ALSO preferred Experience: Five (5)+ years hospital OB nursing; three (3)+ years clinical leadership; three (3)– five (5) years perinatal outpatient/family medicine Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Provide visible nursing leadership for emergent and physiologic obstetric care across ED, OR, and outpatient settings. Serve as principal liaison to perioperative, respiratory, emergency, and midwifery teams; co-chair the OB Committee under the Chief of Perinatal Services. Develop and oversee integrated protocols, simulation drills, competency programs, and emergent transport plans adhering to ACOG, AABC, BRN, and TNCC standards. Manage staffing, scheduling, budgets, and financial variance for ABC, RHC, and SPU operations. Track and report CDPH-required pilot data; ensure regulatory compliance and quality benchmarks. Participate in 24/7 call schedule and hands-on clinical support (triage, NSTs, newborn management, surgical assist if RNFA-qualified).
