Job Title: Director of Planning and Materials
Job Type: Full-time, Day Shift
Location: Champaign, IL

This position requires ITAR compliance and may involve access to technical data controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

  • Applicants must be U.S. Persons as defined by ITAR.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Associate’s, Bachelor’s, or 5 years manufacturing industry experience required

  • APICS/ASCM certification (CPIM, CSCP) a plus

· Experience with purchasing, expediting, MRP/ERP systems, quality/continuous improvement initiatives, and manufacturing practices (i.e. MRP/MPS, APS/finite scheduling, item masters/BOMs/routings, and planning parameters)
· Strong ERP Experience: 3 years (Epicor Preferred) with MRP/MPS, APS/finite scheduling, item masters/BOMs/routings, and planning parameters
· Ability to read manufacturing drawings
· Procurement: 3 years (Preferred)
· Manufacturing: 3 years (Required)
· MS Office applications
· Must meet ITAR requirements

Responsibilities

Own the end-to-end Demand → Supply → Schedule → Materials engine for four facilities. This role is the enterprise Master Scheduler—building a single, feasible plan that hits customer commitments while protecting margin and shop stability.
The “Materials” remit includes full procurement leadership (strategy, sourcing, execution, supplier performance). Success means accurate plans, stable schedules, right-sized inventory, on-time supplier deliveries, and minimal premium freight.
