ROLE OVERVIEW

As the Director of Platform Engineering, you will lead Harvey’s Core Infrastructure and Enterprise Platform teams. These teams form the foundation that all of our products and internal engineering capabilities are built on. This includes our multi-cloud infrastructure, observability, data pipelines, internal tooling, and the product offerings that our champions and buyers depend upon. You’ll lead a team of ~10 engineers (and growing), shaping the systems that enable our product teams to move fast and our customers to scale with confidence. This is a senior leadership role, reporting directly to the VP of Engineering.
At Harvey, we value Decisiveness, Simplicity, and the mindset that Job’s Not Finished. We move fast, prioritize clarity, and are always striving for excellence. If this resonates with you, we’d love to hear from you.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Define and drive the platform strategy that supports Harvey’s rapid growth.
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of engineers as the team scales ~3X over the next year.
  • Drive operational excellence and reliability across our multi-cloud, multi-region architecture.
  • Build and evolve internal tools that enhance developer experience and productivity, and empower product teams.
  • Own enterprise features like permissions, reporting, integrations, and APIs that drive customer adoption.
  • Partner with cross-functional leaders to align platform initiatives with company goals.
