QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in project management, utilities, energy, gas, and constructionmanagement.
  • Professional certification preferred: Project Management Professional (PMP), Program ManagementProfessional (PgMP), or Professional Engineer (PE).
  • Experience managing government, technical, and large-scale infrastructure projects highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to lead high-performing teams and close complex sales opportunities.
  • Strong financial and business acumen with experience in forecasting, budgeting, and risk management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with scheduling/project management tools preferred.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with ability to influence at all organizational levels.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work remotely with willingness to travel 10–15% for site visits and client engagement
  • Valid driver’s license required.

    Pay: $150,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES LEADERSHIP & STRATEGIC GROWTH

  • Provide leadership and oversight for all project management and construction initiatives in the utility, energy, and gas industries.
  • Strategically generate leads, identify opportunities, and secure new business to grow YMC’s market presence.
  • Build and sustain long-term relationships with key clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and regulatory agencies.
  • Serve as YMC’s subject matter expert (SME) for project and program management, offering guidance on best practices and industry standards.
  • Present new business opportunities and investment cases to the leadership team, including financial modeling, risk assessment, and operational planning.Project Management & Delivery
  • Direct project controls, scheduling, cost management, and construction oversight across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Ensure all projects are delivered on schedule, within scope, budget, and aligned with safety, quality, and performance standards.
  • Support project teams—both office and field staff—by providing technical and project management expertise.
  • Oversee the management of subcontractors, consultants, and equipment vendors to ensure contract compliance, safety, and productivity.
  • Conduct site visits to assess progress, milestones, safety compliance, and client satisfaction. Operational Excellence & Collaboration
  • Partner with YMC leadership, engineering, bid management, finance, and operations to structure and deliver high-value solutions.
  • Lead proposal development and RFP responses in collaboration with the Sales Support team.
  • Drive accurate forecasting of sales and project opportunities, ensuring accountability in financialperformance.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and operational excellence.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Performance in this role will be evaluated using the following metrics:
  • Project Delivery
    o % of projects completed on time and within scope.
    o % of projects delivered within approved budget.
    o Milestone achievement rate against project schedules.
  • Financial Performance
    o Revenue growth across utility projects.
    o Gross margin achievement per project.
    o Accuracy of forecasting vs. actual project financials.
  • Client & Stakeholder Satisfaction
    o Client satisfaction scores and repeat business rate.

    o Safety performance (e.g., TRIR – Total Recordable Incident Rate).
