  • Strong expertise in supply chain principles, purchasing standards, and contract management in an industrial setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional and inter-organizational initiatives.
  • Experience negotiating complex, high-value contracts and purchases.
  • Comprehensive understanding of materials requirements planning (MRP) systems and supply chain logistics.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain and enforce procurement policies and processes at all organizational levels.
  • Strong leadership, team development, and decision-making skills.

PREFERRED SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES:

  • Prior experience in the printing or graphic arts manufacturing sector is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with ERP and procurement systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite.
  • Ability to influence supplier relationships, drive cost-saving initiatives, and support proposal development.
  • Certification in supply chain or procurement management (e.g., CPSM, CPM, APICS) is a plus.
Responsibilities
  • Direct the procurement of materials, paper, components, services, and equipment required for multi-plant production.
  • Lead and manage the activities of buyers, subcontract managers, and procurement staff to achieve operational and financial objectives.
  • Review and approve complex, high-value purchase orders, contracts, and supplier agreements.
  • Negotiate and award subcontracts and purchase agreements, ensuring favorable terms, compliance, and delivery schedules.
  • Develop, implement, and enforce procurement policies and procedures aligned with corporate goals and industry best practices.
  • Coordinate purchasing activities across manufacturing sites to align with production schedules, supply needs, and cost targets.
  • Provide accurate supplier pricing inputs for estimating and pricing departments.
  • Lead supplier evaluations, pre-award surveys, and risk assessments as part of vendor selection and performance management.
  • Analyze and negotiate supplier and subcontractor pricing, including managing rebate contracts and compliance reporting.
  • Monitor and support production schedules through proactive planning and material availability oversight.
  • Act as the primary contact for procurement-related issues, both internally and externally, including customer and supplier engagement.
  • Ensure work is performed safely and confidentially, maintaining compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements.
  • Keep current with supply chain best practices, innovations, and market trends.
