Position Overview: The Director of Procurement will build and lead the procurement function for Integrated Water Services (IWS), a private equity backed engineered products platform, driving cost efficiency, process improvements, and supplier performance across a vertically integrated engineering and production organization. This hybrid role is based in Austin, TX (2–3 days/week onsite). Responsibilities: Establish and scale the procurement function to support production and engineering teams. Develop sourcing strategies and analyze supply markets to optimize value and mitigate risk. Negotiate NDAs, Terms & Conditions, Statements of Work, and complex supplier agreements. Consolidate spend, leverage national accounts, and pursue enterprise-wide cost savings. Implement continuous cost improvements and support operational efficiency targets. Build and manage strong supplier relationships with defined KPIs and performance reviews. Oversee purchasing, logistics, materials management, and procurement processes. Partner cross-functionally with various stakeholders across the entire organization including, but not limited to Finance, Product Management and Manufacturing. Develop, document, and lead implementation of functional processes. Drive adoption of ERP to support functional processes. Evaluate supplier performance, address issues, and drive corrective actions. Analyze purchasing trends and market data to identify cost-saving opportunities. Lead special projects and support broader operational initiatives as needed. Other duties as assigned. Requirements Knowledge & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field. 7+ years of procurement experience including a background in discrete manufacturing. Background in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, supplier management, and purchasing. Demonstrated knowledge of end-to-end source-to-pay processes and best practices. Familiarity with the APICS Supply Chain Operations Reference (SCOR) Model. APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) a plus. Experience with direct and indirect procurement; ERP systems (NetSuite), Excel. Attributes: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Drive for results.
