As the Director of Professional Learning, you’ll lead the design and growth of programs that support educators, strengthen our professional learning network, and keep NSTA at the forefront of Science and STEM education. This position reports to the Chief Learning Officer. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Lead professional learning programs that inspire and support educators. Build and manage NSTA’s facilitator network and professional learning ecosystem. Turn NSTA’s content and thought leadership into engaging learning pathways. Share the impact of professional learning with compelling stories and data. Keep offerings future-ready by scanning for trends in Science and STEM education. Supervise Professional Learning Design Specialist. Requirements REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES We know not everyone will meet every qualification. Bachelor’s degree in education or related field (advanced degree a plus). 5+ years of experience in education, with expertise in professional learning design/facilitation. Familiarity with NGSS and the Framework for K–12 Science Education, or ability to learn quickly. Strong skills in curriculum design, adult learning, communication, and storytelling. A collaborative leadership style and comfort with data-driven decision-making.
