Description Job Summary: The purpose of this position is to lead, manage, and coordinate the work of multiple program areas pertinent to the vision and mission of the Institute. This is a full time benefited position and will be posted until filled Salary range: $81,475 to $99,695 Essential Responsibilities: Develop and lead impactful programs and education services that fulfill the strategic vision of the Institute Cultivate and steward strategic partnerships that enhance programs and education services Research program issue areas and foster bilateral communication with external program stakeholders Ensure continuous program improvement by systematically capturing and reporting outputs and outcomes; identify trends and, if needed, implement corrective actions Develop, analyze, and manage Institute program budgets Collaborate with the Advancement team to identify and secure grants, sponsorships, and donations that support programmatic activity Provide mentoring, guidance, supervision, and professional development to the programs and education staff; acting to retain a strong team and working with Human Resources to attract and recruit new members when necessary Advise the Chief Strategy Officer on strategic programmatic direction Advise Institute senior executive staff on partnership and program development, revenue, and expenses in addition to forecasting growth and capacity needs and matching planned activities with available and expected resources. Represent the Institute at public events and be able to speak confidently about Governor Rockefeller’s legacy Provide quarterly reporting to the Institute Board of Directors as directed Works closely with the Senior Leadership Team to develop and implement strategy, manage operations, and own performance outcomes across programs Work collaboratively across departments Other Responsibilities: Other duties as assigned Requirements Competency or position requirements Director-level leadership experience in a nonprofit or public sector agency Demonstrated experience in program development High degree of independent judgment and critical thinking skills Intellectual curiosity and a high level of emotional intelligence Proven experience in leadership and development of teams Excellent communication, analytical, writing, oral presentation, and organizational skills Experience in successful grant writing, management, and reporting Professional appearance and positive, team-minded attitude Flexible work schedule Proficient computer skills (Microsoft 365 Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint) Experience in group meeting design and facilitation Environmental Factors: (lifting, standing, sitting, sounds, chemicals, hazards, etc.) Must be able to sit for extended periods of time (8-10 hours), daily Must be able to stand for long periods of time (2-3 hours), as needed Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs., as needed Quality or Quantity Standards: The Institute expects integrity, professionalism, and high-quality work from all employees.
