JOB SUMMARY

At Diverzify, the Director of Project Accounting will be a strategic thinker with a strong background in project accounting, financial management, and construction project operations. This role requires a deep understanding of construction accounting principles, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience in a leadership role within project accounting in the construction industry.
  • Thorough understanding of construction accounting principles, cost accounting, and financial analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant regulations, standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and financial software.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to align project accounting functions with organizational strategies.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies to support construction project goals and overall company objectives.
  • Oversee various aspects of project accounting, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Ensure accurate and timely recording of project costs, revenue recognition, and financial reporting.
  • Monitor and analyze project financial performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Foster a collaborative and results-driven culture within the project accounting team.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks associated with construction projects.
  • Prepare and present regular financial reports to executive leadership, highlighting key performance indicators and financial trends.
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to provide transparent and accurate financial information.
  • Oversee the implementation and optimization of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems for efficient project accounting processes.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to address system issues and enhance functionalities.
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of financial and project management processes.
  • Provide financial guidance and support to project teams, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
