Description

This is an exciting new role with an industry-leading manufacturing company which manufactures and supplies their product range across North America. They now seek to hire a talented Director of QA with extensive technical management, product specifications, regulatory and GMP experience to lead their QA function. Please note this is a hands-on, on-site position- there is no remote capability.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Degree (BA) in Chemistry or related required.
  • Minimum 7+ years experience as a Sr. QA Manager and/ or Director level in the chemical manufacturing sector.
  • Experience working with innovation.
Responsibilities
  • Ensuring compliance with product specifications, labeling, and regulatory standards.
  • Ensuring compliance with internal standards and external regulatory bodies.
  • Direct and evaluate internal audits as well as third-party inspections.
  • Overseeing and implementing safety and quality programs for the plant.
  • Hands‑on development, microbial testing regimes and cold‑chain controls.
  • Oversee and guide the full product development process from concept to launch.
  • Providing oversight for the development of robust manufacturing control processes and related reports use throughout the plant.
  • Ensure company wide regulatory compliance with both US & Canadian standards.
  • Manage customer complaint investigations, resolution and tracking.
  • Performing gap analysis on all safety and quality processes and procedures.
  • Development and execution of workplace safety and environmental compliance programs.
  • Training, mentoring, and supervising a team.
  • Establishing finished goods quality standards, monitor down-graded product and work with manufacturing to reduce them to appropriate levels.
