ABOUT THE ROLE:

Planit is seeking a thought leader and a strategic Director of Quality Engineering – NZ to drive the design, development, and implementation of modern QE solutions across New Zealand. In this senior leadership role, you will collaborate with Planit’s Global Practice Leadership to define and execute technical work programs, uplift internal capability, and lead solution innovation within the Quality Engineering domain.
You will be responsible for leading the integration and implementation of Next Gen Quality Engineering methodologies within New Zealand. Your leadership will influence delivery governance, pre-sales, technical strategy, and community-of-practice development.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Drive growth across NZ through capability uplift, training, recruitment, sales, and innovation.
• Support pre-sales, sales, and client delivery, ensuring promises are deliverable.
• Collaborate on improving governance frameworks.
• Advise clients and Planit on new technologies and concepts for maximum benefit.
• Lead the evaluation, adoption, and integration of emerging technologies
• Work with Practice leadership to develop strategic plans for growth and delivery.
• Mentor EX Leads and People Leads, supporting career development aligned with Planit’s framework.
• Develop key industry partnerships.
• Support delivery of client proposals, tenders, and pre-sales presentations.
• Collaborate on enterprise RFPs, solution designs, and delivery models that demonstrate measurable client value
• Aligning with industry advancements and client needs by offering training programs, workshops, and continuous learning opportunities focused on Next Gen QE practices
• Coach and develop future QE leaders through structured mentoring, technical assessments, and growth pathways
• Be a visible and vocal champion for Planit’s brand participating & presenting at industry forums, SIGs, technical meetups , and through thought leadership content
