Director of Recreation & Spa We are seeking a visionary and commercially astute Director of Recreation & Spa to lead and elevate the hotel’s wellness portfolio within a five-star or luxury hospitality environment. This executive leadership role requires a strategic thinker with proven expertise in spa, fitness, and recreational operations—capable of driving exceptional guest experiences, team performance, and sustainable financial growth. A strategic overview of your role: As Director of Recreation & Spa, you will provide strategic direction and operational leadership across Spa, Fitness, Pool, and Recreation facilities. You will be responsible for delivering a premium wellness experience aligned with brand standards while ensuring profitability, compliance, and service excellence. Key responsibilities include: Developing and executing the overall strategy for Spa, Fitness, and Recreation operations across the property. Driving revenue growth through innovative treatment menus, wellness programs, memberships, retail sales, and promotional initiatives. Leading, mentoring, and developing multidisciplinary teams including Spa Therapists, Fitness Instructors, Lifeguards, and Attendants. Ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction through personalized service, quality assurance, and effective service recovery. Overseeing financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and KPI management. Maintaining the highest standards of hygiene, safety, and regulatory compliance across all wellness facilities. Collaborating with Sales, Marketing, and Front Office to promote wellness offerings and enhance guest engagement. Monitoring market trends and introducing innovative concepts to maintain competitive positioning. Ensuring compliance with brand standards, SOPs, and audit requirements. Representing the wellness division in executive meetings and contributing to overall hotel strategy. What we are looking for: Proven experience as a Director of Spa, Director of Recreation, or Wellness Director, preferably within a five-star or luxury hotel or resort environment. Strong commercial acumen with a demonstrated ability to drive revenue and profitability. Deep knowledge of spa operations, fitness programming, and recreational management. Exceptional leadership and team development capabilities. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Fluent in English; Arabic language will be a strong advantage. High standards of professionalism, discretion, and guest engagement. Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-expectation luxury environment.
