The Director of Rehabilitation & Respiratory Care – C is responsible for the efficient management of assigned work areas and is responsible for the integration of services within the organizational setting. The Director is also responsible for implementing, communicating, monitoring and evaluating professional practices, activities, and strategies for Cardiovascular, Rehab and Respiratory services. The Director performs duties and participates in special projects and other assignments as needed in order to support the mission of the organization.
The Director is responsible for operational excellence of the Rehab, Cardiovascular & Respiratory Departments including human resource management, fiscal management, information management and supply management. Promotes departments, demonstrates effective customer service and exhibits professional growth.
EMPLOYMENT QUALIFICATIONS
Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree in rehabilitation discipline (Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech Pathology or Respiratory Therapy) from an accredited program.
Education Preferred: Doctorate or Master’s Degree in clinical care area, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration or closely related field from an accredited program
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Years and Type of Required Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of relevant clinical experience with three (3) years of progressively more responsible supervisory/management experience in a healthcare . Must be available as needed to staff on all shifts, locations, etc.
Years and Type of Preferred Experience: Seven (7) years of progressively more responsible supervisory/management positions in a healthcare setting. Knowledge/Experience with AACVPR (American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation) and/or Intersocietal Commission ECHO/Vascular Accreditations.
