Position Summary The Director of Rehabilitation is responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality rehabilitative services, including physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech-language pathology. This leadership role ensures that all rehabilitation programs meet clinical standards, regulatory requirements, and patient-centered goals while fostering a collaborative and efficient team environment. Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership Develop and implement departmental goals, policies, and procedures aligned with organizational objectives. Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, making data-driven decisions to improve outcomes. Team Management Train and supervise rehabilitation staff including therapists and support personnel. Provide mentorship to promote professional growth. Clinical Oversight Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including CMS and HIPAA. Maintain high standards of patient care through evidence-based practices and continuous quality improvement. · Interdisciplinary Collaboration · Coordinate with physicians, nurses, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to develop and execute individualized care plans. · Serve as a liaison between rehabilitation services and other departments. · Program Development · Introduce innovative therapies and technologies to enhance patient recovery. · Lead community outreach and education initiatives related to rehabilitation services. Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology, or related field (Doctorate preferred). Current state licensure in respective discipline. Minimum 5 years of clinical experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role. Strong knowledge of rehabilitation principles, healthcare regulations, and reimbursement models. Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
