POSITION OVERVIEW

The Owners Association of a premier 846-unit condominium resort seeks an experienced hospitality leader to oversee all aspects of the Association’s transient rental program, operated for the benefit of participating unit owners. This position is responsible for maximizing the financial performance of the rental program and individual participating units,ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction, and building and leading a high-performing resort staff.
The Director will manage daily resort operations, including front office, housekeeping, maintenance, and guest services, while maintaining the Association’s established quality standards. The role requires a strategic thinker with hands-on operational expertise, strong financial acumen, and the ability to operate within the governance framework of a condominium owners association.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in hotel, resort, or vacation rental management; condominium resort experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven track record of P&L responsibility and achieving financial performance targets.
  • Strong understanding of revenue management principles and guest service excellence.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a diverse staff.
  • Experience reporting to an Association Board of Directors and working within a governance framework.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Proficiency with property management systems (PMS), reservation platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Lead, manage, and optimize the Association’s transient rental program to achieve revenue, occupancy, and profitability goals.
  • Develop and execute strategies to attract repeat guests, extend length of stay, and increase unit owner participation.
  • Oversee all resort operations including guest services, housekeeping, maintenance, and amenities.
  • Establish and maintain quality standards for cleanliness, guest satisfaction, and service delivery.
  • Recruit, hire, train, mentor, and, when necessary, discipline resort staff in accordance with Association policies.
  • Prepare and manage annual budgets, monitor performance against KPIs, and report regularly to the Board of Directors.
  • Implement and maintain systems for revenue management, yield optimization, and cost control.
  • Foster strong relationships with unit owners, addressing concerns and promoting participation in the rental program.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Association rules.
  • Represent the Association in community, tourism, and industry activities.
