We are looking for a Director of Retail Sales and Operations join a leading home retailer in Montreal!
Full time. Permanent.

Responsibilities

  • Craft and execute innovative retail sales strategies aligned with company objectives;
  • Partner with multidisciplinary teams, including merchandising, purchasing, digital marketing, and customer service, to integrate retail sales goals into broader growth plans;
  • Communicate regional needs and strategic insights by reporting to and collaborating with the CEO;
  • Inspire, coach, and lead district managers and store managers to exceed sales targets while ensuring alignment with key objectives;
  • Collaborate with the regional trainer to foster a high-performance sales culture through effective training programs;
  • Evaluate store performance by monitoring and analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) and identifying growth opportunities;
  • Attract, train, and develop top talent across all sales channels;
  • Promote a culture of respect, inclusion, and open communication to ensure the well-being of all team members;
  • Oversee compliance with company policies, industry standards, and health and safety regulations.

Requirements

  • Demonstrate proven experience in the retail industry, ideally as a Director of Retail Sales and Operations or a similar role;
  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in business administration, retail management, or a related field;
  • Exhibit strong leadership and team management abilities with a focus on driving sales performance;
  • Possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Bilingual in French and English. 25% of time, the candidate will need to communicate with staff located in English speaking provinces;
  • Understand retail operations, sales strategies, merchandising, and customer service principles comprehensively;
  • Showcase proficiency with retail software and point-of-sale systems;
  • Apply an analytical mindset to make data-driven decisions;
  • Adapt and thrive in a constantly evolving environment.
