Description

POSITION SUMMARY

Are you a strategic, hands-on leader ready to take full ownership of the revenue cycle for a fast-growing, multi-state mobile wound care practice? We’re seeking a Director of Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) who thrives in a dynamic, remote environment and is passionate about driving financial performance, operational efficiency, and compliance excellence.
In this high-impact role, you’ll oversee every aspect of the revenue cycle—from billing and coding to payer contracting and credentialing—while collaborating with clinical and operational teams to ensure seamless, accurate, and compliant revenue operations. Your expertise will directly influence the financial integrity and long-term success of the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Finance, Business, or related field required; Master’s preferred.
  • 5–7+ years of progressive revenue cycle management experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
  • Experience with mobile healthcare, wound care, home health, or multispecialty medical groups highly preferred.
  • Deep knowledge of CMS and commercial payer guidelines, especially for wound care services.
  • Track record of optimizing revenue cycle workflows and improving financial outcomes.
  • Proficient with RCM platforms and EMR systems (AdvancedMD experience is a big plus).
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
  • Comfortable working remotely and leading distributed teams.
Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and manage all revenue cycle functions, including charge capture, coding, claims submission, payment posting, denial management, and patient collections.
  • Monitor and improve revenue cycle KPIs (Days in AR, denial rates, collection efficiency, etc.).
  • Ensure compliance with payer requirements, CMS regulations, HIPAA, and all relevant federal/state billing and coding laws.
  • Collaborate with clinical and operations leaders to optimize documentation and charge capture workflows.
  • Oversee RCM vendor relationships (billing companies, clearinghouses, credentialing services, etc.).
  • Drive strategic initiatives to improve revenue performance and minimize leakage.
  • Lead payer contract negotiations and credentialing for new/existing providers.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain internal RCM policies, procedures, and training programs.
  • Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify improvements and ensure compliance.
  • Partner with Finance on budgeting, forecasting, and revenue reporting.

WHY YOU’LL LOVE THIS ROLE

  • 100% remote—work from anywhere in the U.S.
  • Opportunity to shape RCM strategy for an innovative, mission-driven healthcare practice.
  • Collaborative, supportive, and growth-minded team culture.
  • Competitive compensation, benefits, and professional development opportunities.
    Salary Range: $100,000 – $160,000 (DOE)
