JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for balancing the financial objectives of different lodging products to maximize total revenues and profit associated with guest rooms. Position is accountable for pricing, positioning and inventory of hotel rooms and apartments within area of purview. Develops and recommends sales strategy for pricing of the transient customer, wholesale, and group segments. Identifies new revenue opportunities and effectively communicates sales strategy and pricing to all key stakeholders. Maintains productive relationships with stakeholders, including hotel General Manager, sales leaders and owners.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • 4-year bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management or a related major.
  • Local UAE or GCC experience in similar capacity as must.
  • 2 years experience in a 5-star hotel in the same/similar role.
  • Marriott experience as a Revenue HOD is preferred.
  • Proven business acumen through exemplary financial results in previous assignments.

Responsibilities

CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Executing Revenue Management Projects and Strategy.
  • Manages room authorizations, rates and restrictions.
  • Manages function space authorizations, restrictions and rental.
  • Manages rooms’ inventory to maximize cluster rooms revenue.
  • Maintains the transient rooms inventory for the hotel and apartments, responsible for maximizing transient revenue.
  • Releases group rooms back into general inventory and verifies clean booking windows for customers.
  • Verifies that the hotel and apartments sales strategies are effectively implemented in the reservation system and the inventory system.
  • Prepares sales strategy critique.
  • Monitors transient and group inventory daily to ensure straight-line availability and maximization of revenue potential for all brands.
