ABOUT THE ROLE

The Director of Risk and Compliance will be responsible for the strategic development, implementation, and oversight of CHEC’s organisation-wide risk management and regulatory compliance frameworks. This role is pivotal in ensuring the organisation operates within legal, contractual and regulatory parameters, including those set by NHS England, the CQC, the ICO, ISO and other statutory bodies.
You will lead the development and implementation of CHEC’s corporate risk register, business continuity planning, internal audit function, and compliance frameworks. You’ll also play a key role in cultivating a positive culture of openness, safety, and learning across the organisation.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE:

  • Demonstrated ability to design and implement cross-organisational risk, assurance, and compliance frameworks.
  • Experience managing large-scale regulatory audits, inspections, and business continuity planning.
  • Ability to inspire and lead high-performing, multidisciplinary teams in a values-led organisation.
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to engage confidently at all levels.
