Job Summary
The Director of Risk Management, Safety, and Security is responsible for overseeing all aspects of risk management, including components of patient and employee safety, and facility security that create potential risk exposures across the organization. This position plays a key leadership role in ensuring reducing clinical and environmental risks facing a multidisciplinary organization, including creating a safe, compliant, and resilient environment for individuals served, visitors, and staff. The director develops and implements policies, protocols, and programs that reduce organizational risk, promote a culture of safety, and maintain readiness for emergencies or adverse events in compliance with federal, state, and accreditation standards.

This job operates in a professional office environment, which usually has a moderate noise level due to conversations, office machinery, and communication devices. The atmosphere is generally collaborative, although it can vary based on the team’s dynamics. The position may involve prolonged periods of sitting at a desk or standing, along with frequent computer use.
This requires proficiency in handling office equipment, such as printers, copiers, and telephones. Occasional lifting or physical activity may be required during inspections or emergency drills. Additionally, travel and work outside of normal hours may be necessary for meetings, presentations, training sessions, and other events.
