POSITION OVERVIEW

The Director of Safety & Compliance is responsible for overseeing all aspects of regulatory compliance, safety management, and risk mitigation across our national and cross-border operations. This role ensures operational excellence, driver safety, regulatory adherence, and continuous improvement of safety programs. You will lead a team of safety professionals and work closely with operations, maintenance, and HR to drive a culture of safety and compliance.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience in a senior safety and compliance leadership role within the transportation industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian and U.S. transportation legislation, including NSC, FMCSA, DOT, PIP, and C-TPAT requirements.
  • Familiarity with Health & Safety regulations, hazard assessments, and risk management practices.
  • Class 1 Commercial Driver’s License is an asset.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with experience using safety performance metrics to drive change.
