Description

SGD is seeking a highly organized and motivated Director of Events & Administration to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, balancing office operations with client-facing responsibilities in the event industry. You’ll play a key role in keeping our operations running smoothly, supporting management, coordinating logistics, and guiding client experiences from initial inquiry to event day execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily office operations, calls, emails, and client inquiries
  • Oversee invoicing, payment tracking, and financial records
  • Maintain décor inventory and supply records
  • Support event logistics and scheduling with the operations team
  • Prepare proposals, contracts, and administrative documents
  • Meet with clients to review décor selections and event details
  • Coordinate with vendors, staff, and clients to ensure seamless communication
  • Assist with on-site event setups when required

Qualifications

  • 2+ years in administration, office management, or event coordination
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office / Google Workspace
  • Experience with invoicing/bookkeeping software (QuickBooks, etc.) is an asset
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of the event industry is a bonus
  • Flexible availability — must be open to business needs; some days may require assisting with on-site event setups and supporting the execution team
  • This is not a remote position

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $19.00-$24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
